About the masterclass
La Famiglia Nostra began importing single malt whisky from Scotland to Germany in 2013, combining the highest quality casks available with "schnapps from Scotland".
A small group of whisky enthusiasts came together with the aim of bottling the best possible product. The drink they enjoyed themselves. The initiator, the "Don", travelled to Spain to barter with the people in the bodegas to exchange their rarest and finest old sherry casks, while the new standard on the market was hastily seasoned casks due to growing demand.
Rare wine casks were selected and even commissioned from winemakers, making some bottlings so unique that they cannot be duplicated by anyone else.
Since the early days, over 100 barrels have been bottled, each one tested and approved by the Don and his friends. Not to be good, but to be better. In 2021, he moved to Estonia to live a quieter life by the sea with his family.
There is no comparable whisky to La Famiglia Nostra in Europe, let alone in the Baltic States. This masterclass is a unique opportunity to talk to the man and taste some of his best whiskies.
